Yazan Ghayad

Yazan founded OptiTech in 2024 and leads the company from Stockholm. He works hands-on across the product: IT services, cloud, infrastructure, and the AI and data analytics the platform is built on.

He is an economist by training, with a degree from Lund University, and OptiTech is not his first company. He previously built Prakto, a digital internship platform that connects students, schools, and companies across Sweden for LIA, APL, VFU, and prao placements, and Sweo. Alongside OptiTech, he works with business development at the Department of Economics at Södertörn University.

His main interests are public finance and public economics: how automation affects productivity, income distribution, and the ability of states to fund welfare systems over time. Moving between theory and practice shapes how he builds OptiTech.
