Most compliance programs start in Excel and Word. It works until it doesn't: versions drift, evidence goes stale, and nobody can say which control satisfies which requirement. This guide moves that program into OptiTech without losing the work you've already done.
What you can import
- Risk register: risks, likelihood and impact scores, owners, and treatment plans from Excel or Google Sheets
- Control matrix: your existing controls, mapped against OptiTech's framework requirements on import
- Policies and plans: Word and PDF documents, imported with their content intact
- Vendor lists: suppliers, contacts, and contract dates into the vendor register
Cut over
Connect your integrations and let evidence collection take over from manual updates. Your imported documents get review cycles and e-signing, and the spreadsheets can retire.
What doesn't carry over
Old screenshots and pasted evidence are imported as historical records only. Live verification starts from your integrations at cutover, which is the upgrade you came for.
